That time I met the cupcake queen. (If you love cupcakes, you've had a Gigi's cupcake, so you know why she's the queen!)This was a fun photo session with Gina Butler, the founder of Gigi's Cupcakes. I photographed her way back when, in her original location on Broadway in Nashville. In the years since the local and national cupcake game has flourished. After building up her business and opening more than a dozen locations across the U.S. she sold Gigi's in 2016. Since then Gina opened another original eatery in Franklin, TN. Gigi's Kitchen, cafe and bakery is currently thriving and selling and serving sweet treats and pies as well as unique southern fare for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Would we call this a scenic though? It's definitely a scene or a landscape isn't it? Traditionally we know the term scenic as a landscape or a location that is pleasing to the eye, nice to look at, evokes some sort of emotion from a physical site. It's trash, right? But you can't stop looking at it, can you? The actual date escapes me, but one day a few years ago, I was driving on I-65 in Nashville and in the corner of my eye, I saw this huge heap of wreckage. As evidenced by the cars and trucks in the image one can see it's gargantuan-ness 😁 I had to safely pull over and snap a few images. Careful, you can get caught up staring at the shot to see how many items you can spot. Enjoy! |
