I photographed a great event on Wednesday night! The Nashville Capital Network's annual meeting. More than 150 Nashville business go getters were in attendance at Loews Vanderbilt Hotel to get an update of the NCN's progress in 2010. Speakers included Chairman Tom Wylly of Brentwood Capital Advisors, Mark Cate, Special Assistant to newly elected TN Governor Bill Haslam, Joe Cook, of Limestone fund and Brian Fox of Capital Confirmation. I had a really interesting gig earlier this month for a company called Energy Source Partners here in Nashville. My friend LaDonna Merville, who I met through the Nashville Chamber of Commerce a few years ago contacted me through Facebook, (this is when I love Facebook) for her husband Ron. His company had installed solar panels on the top floor of a parking garage in Mid-town and needed a few images for marketing purposes and website use. The interesting part is that this is one of the first projects of it's kind in the country and the fun part was I got to go up in a lift to shoot from above the shiny solar panels. Oh! did I mention that those solar panels provide the energy to power the entire parking structure and each can be easily configured to be used as a charging station for an electric car?.... Cool huh!!
